Client: Art of Parking

The parking company, which has its center in Germany, called upon our group of companies to design and develop maybe the most complex parking system in the world, after having seen our experiences in parking technologies being also considerable on international markets, which request we gladly accepted.

Tasks:

Our task is to design and implement a complex parking-management system in close cooperation with the experts of our client. The system has to cover every function from the payment of parking fees to the collection of possible fines.

Implementation:

The first step of work was to plan every process in detail, which was followed by the preparation of specifications and system designs. After the detailed designs were finished, we could start working out the database structures and the process of development.

Our task was hindered many times by the necessity of installing technologies in which we didn’t have our own experience. Such element was the programming of the parking meter’s software in Java language. The hardware was completely prepared by the colleagues of our client; our job was to prepare the target software for that. It was challenging to prepare a code which could run on the continuously changing hardware specification, but after long months of development the project was successfully finished, and a well-working parking meter came into being.

We chose the newly installed Júlia™ system for the implementation of the server-side software environment, which is sufficiently robust for fulfilling the requisite demands for performance, and the Java base also served the purposes of security requirements. It was an additional advantage that the developers could work more efficiently in their own development environment.

As the result of development a complex parking-management system was created, unique in the world, which soon will be installed in several countries around the globe.
